Here at TexasIslandBBQ.com our passion for cooking and food never wavers. Trying new recipes, using new spices and hosting family and friends as a testing audience. There were some great new discoveries, as well as, some disappointments. After further tweaking, it was time to get serious and make some tough choices. Graduating Texas BBQ School, and investing a great deal of money for a state-of-the-art BBQ Rig, the dream became the reality.

Well you guess it, a Texas BBQ Food Truck at the Big Island of Hawaii (South Hilo Side) was the clear path. After a great deal of research of laws, regulations, inspections and permits. After reading all the trials and tribulations of the business. After honing our skills of BBQ preparation, cooking temperature, and cooking time. After designing a concession food trailer with a certified kitchen and creating a delicious BBQ menu. And after a whole lot more, we came to paradise to bring authentic Texas BBQ to the Big Island. Thus the name “Texas Island BBQ”.
